Fatu Bensouda, the chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, is one of the most influential human rights lawyers in the world today.

Originally from the Gambia, Bensouda holds a law barrister’s degree from the University of Nigeria. And he became Gambia’s first international maritime law expert.
